Hey everyone

I currently have the National Incoming 300 plan with nextel (I got it in December 2004 before the conversion) with a motorola i530 and I'm having some issues with my plan.

Basically, I recieve very few incoming calls, and I'm told by many people that they are rarely able to reach me on my cell and that it doesn't give a voice mail option, rather "the nextel subscriber is unavailiable... try back later" etc and I went through the loops with customer service today, again. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, I'd like to appeal the $200 service termination fee and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and were successful?

Any info you can give me would be great, thanks!

i am a customer service rep for nextel.

that plan is at $49.99/month. the new Sprint Free Incoming 300 includes 9pm N&W, Long Distance, Unlit Walkie Talkie, Unlit Nationwide Walkie Talkie, voicemail, and caller id all for just $39.99/month. by chaning to this plan, you will have to commit to a new 24 mos Service Agreement. You cannot change to ANY plan w/out commiting to a new SA. depending on the type of account you have (individual, corporate, government) you might qualify for a 12mos SA on certain rate plans. The i530 is a very outdated phone. At the end of june a new phone was released similar to the i530. It is very durable but also has a colored screen and a camara. a phone purchase will require a new SA as well. but not on top of the one you receive for changing the rate plan... just whichever is longer.

i would suggest you speak to Account SErvices Dept. [dial 611 then select the option for cust service, and disconnect service]. if anyone can do anything in order to try and save you as a customer... it will be this dept. regular customer service could care less. also, dont be too mean or bitch out ppl. this will lead to nothing. just be calm but somewhat assertive.

1) your LJ name made me giggle for no apparent reason.
2) I have the nextel plan because I signed on before the conversion.
3) I like my phone because it's yellow and black which makes it easy to find in my obscenely messy room
4) Customer service is doing a "thingy" now... something about a ticket... and engineers and checking for network problems... and I have a ticket number... the guy at the sprint store stared at me like Ben Stine would
5) Oh honey, I can dial up the sugar when I need to ;)
