after_effect: Nextel Plans

I have the nextel national power 1000minute plan (free incoming, unlimited direct connect, nights and weekends; $55 a month). I broke my phone a few months ago and so I've been using an older phone until I can get a new one. My contract is up in October so I was going to wait it out until then. I've been looking at new phones and plans and whatnot, and they don't have the plan that I have anymore. It's like over $100 for 1000 minutes now and basically totally different plans.
What will happen in October when I want to renew my contract? will I have to find a different plan?

I've had Nextel since 2001 and it's been my experience that you can keep on the same plan. I have never had to renew a contract after the initial one, but then again I never tried to use one of their programs to get a new phone, either. I bought one out of pocket and just transferred it onto the account because it was a limited edition and not available through local vendors anyway.
